Summary
This website uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site. It does not use analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them through the consent banner, and it never collects your name, email, or any personal information unless you choose to send it (for example, by emailing me from the contact page).
Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-8E83DETWNT). When enabled, it records anonymous, aggregate information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/region, derived from a truncated IP address), referring site, and device and browser type. This is used only to see which projects people are interested in and how the site is performing. It is not used to identify you personally, and the site does not sell or share this data.
Cookies and consent
Analytics runs on Google’s Consent Mode. When you first arrive, all analytics and advertising storage is set to denied by default, so no analytics cookies are written. A banner then lets you Accept or Reject. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_…) to distinguish visitors and measure sessions. If you reject — or ignore the banner — those cookies are not set. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage so you are not asked again; clearing your browser data resets it and the banner returns.
Advertising
This website does not currently serve ads or use advertising or remarketing cookies. The consent banner still lists advertising storage because Google’s Consent Mode requires those signals to be declared; they remain denied unless advertising is added later, in which case this policy will be updated first.
Contact form
The contact page does not send anything through this site. It composes a message in your own email application, which you then send yourself. No form data is transmitted to or stored by this website.
Third parties
Analytics is provided by Google; its handling of the data it receives is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Static assets and this site are served by the hosting provider, which may keep standard server access logs. No other third-party trackers are used.
Your choices
You can reject analytics at any time using the consent banner, clear cookies and local storage in your browser to reset your choice, or use your browser’s Do Not Track and cookie controls. You may also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Changes
If this site starts collecting anything new — for example, adding advertising or a server-side contact form — this policy will be updated to describe it before that change ships.
